DKG Convention 2009

It will be on 21. to 24. May 2009 in Altenburg. For the friends in the Iberian region there's good news, Altenburg has a local airport and there's a connection by RyanAir from Barcelona. Transport from and to the Airport is guaranteed by the Convention Organization Team.

As our guest we welcome Wilson Costa. He'll talk about his previous research topic: Killis in the Atlantik Forest in Brazil. In addition he'll also present an additional talk at our Cynolebias Study Group meeting. The title is not yet fixed, but I promise you that it will be related to SAA. I ask you for your participation; you should not miss this opportunity! As our second Brazilian guest we'll welcome his wife Claudia Bove, who also will give us a lecture at the DKG convention. She'll talk about plants in killi biotopes. Language is English and will be translated by myself into German.

The meeting of the Cynolebias Study Group will be on Friday, 22. May starting at 1000 am. I plan about 2 hours, room is booked. Besides the talk we should discuss about some organizatorial topics, that I'll present as a PowerPoitPresentation. If there's any topic from your side to be discussed please feel free to inform me in advance that I can include it into our agenda.

As a new topic at a DKG convention it is planned to provide enough space for poster presentations. Our killi friends who scientifically work with killis are encouraged to prepare a poster, in addition all topics with practical relevance for collecting, keepind and breeding killis is also welcomed. Maybe this is a interesting topic for the agenda of our Cynolebias study group meeting. More specific information will be given by the Convention Organization Team. For any question please do not hesitate to ask.

For freaks I plan an additional Study Group Meeting in early spring (March/April) at my home. If there's anybody interested from abroad please contact me and I'll provide more information about this.
