APK convention information

12th international convention from Associação Portuguesa de Killifilia

Associação Portuguesa de Killifilia invites everyone who might be interested to attend its 12th International Convention which will take place between 19 and 21 of October in the very welcoming city of Torres Novas. 
In addition to the several dozens of exposition tanks displaying fascinating color Killifish some activities will also take place, among it we would like to stand out the auction of all exposed fishes, two Lectures, a workshop about photography and a strong social component where you get to know and to trade some opinions with some of the best killifish breeders.
APK is counting on your presence. Show up and bring a friend.

The fishes will be distributed among the following groups:
Group I – Big “Aphyosemion” – Callopanchax, Fundulopanchax e Aphyosemion (Raddaella)
Group II – Small “Aphyosemion” I – Aphyosemion (Aphyosemion s.s e Mesoaphyosemion) Scriptaphyosemion, Archiaphyosemion e Episemion
Group III – Small “Aphyosemion” II – Aphyosemion (Chromaphyosemion, Diapteron e Kathetys)
Group IV – Epiplatys, Aphyoplatys, Aplocheilus e Pachypanchax
Group V – Rivulus e Kryptolebias
Group VI – African annuals
Group VII – South American Annuals
Group VIII – Other Genders
Group IX – Breeding Groups – Non Annuals
Group X – Breeding Groups – Annuals
Group XI – Photography

General Conditions:

– after entering the exhibition all fishes revert to APK (APK is the legal owner of these fishes)
– All fishes should be pre registered no later than Thursday, October 18 at 22h, and delivered until Saturday, October 20 at 11h. Pre registration should bem ade using the following email: convencao@apk.pt
– Non pre registered fishes should be delivered no later than Friday, October 19 at 20h.
– Groups I to VIII will be judged as a pair or trio
– Groups IX and X will be judged in a 6 fishes group (3 pairs or 2 trios)
– 3 prizes will be awarded per group (1st to 3rd)
– In Group XI only one prize will be awarded to the best Photography
– Only the organization can feed the fishes during the show

Photography contest:

The best Picture presented in Group XI will be awarded

Conditions:

– All Killifish related pictures are accepted.
– Presented pictures will become a intellectual property of APK and can be used in APK publications without further request for permission
– Pictures should be presented in paper format. A digital version of the pictures should be sent to: convencao@apk.pt

Shipping Fishes

Shipped fishes should arrive no later than October 18.
